Loesche Nigeria’s scope of work will include the following activities:
- Preparation and supervision of technical repairs, modifications and upgrades
- Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
- Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
- Preventive maintenance and planning
- Management of required spare parts
- Recruitment, management and training of employees
- Management of operational stability and improvement-process, product quality, performance
- Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

Therefore, LNG is looking to fill following vacancy in Nigeria:
Job Title: Plant Manager (m/f)

Role & Responsibility:
- Lead all production related aspects at the plant site including safety, environment, operations, performance, quality, maintenance, costs, human resources, plant image and community relations
- Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of the assigned grinding terminals or cement plants for achieving the agreed targets
- In charge of the achievement of key performance indicators in the field of safety, productivity and cost related agreed targets for the overall plants’ performance
- Ensure a successful and efficient operation of the customer’s plant
- Responsible for the continuous increase of productivity and profitability
- Control the plant’s performance and output
- Provide the necessary guidance to the Managers to carry out the required production processes
- Coordinate the production requirements to maximize plant efficiency and availability
- Cost controlling to meet budgets and cost savings
- Review of cost reports to locate excessive expenses and decision making of necessary corrective actions
- Ensure a high-end operation and maintenance of the assigned plant
- Take care of technical audits and their conclusions
- Approve spare parts requests and their specifications
- Solve all technical requests from customers
- Prepare short and long range development plans for plant improvement
- Assurance of an environmental compliance and clean plant operations
- Safeguard Human resources by adherence to Health & Safety regulations
- Manage the utilization of manpower, mobile equipment, fixed assets and contractors
- Guide plant staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and providing development through training
- Control and guide the daily work
- Ensure a well-organised communication of decisions and current developments
- Implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs), reporting functions, and work instructions for optimising the process chains
- Carry out annual performance reviews of employees
- Continuous reporting to the Technical Director in Dubai
- Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
Qualification and Requirements:
- University degree in process or mechanical engineering
- Several years’ experience in the cement industry as Plant Manager
- Profound experience in leading and guiding Managers at production plants
- Sound knowledge of the cement production process including cement chemistry and cement microscopy
- Strong knowledge of modern maintenance management, technologies, and methods
- Outstanding knowledge of plant process optimizations
- Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations
- Strategic, organisation and planning skills
- Confident manner in dealing with customers and plant staff
- Profound knowledge in financial controlling and contract management
- Sound communication skills, and outstanding ability to work in a team
- Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge
- Business-fluent spoken and written English
- Further languages skills would be an advantage
- Willingness to travel to various locations worldwide for an extended period of time
