Programme Manager at Nation Institute for Legislative Studies Capacity Building
The Nation Institute for Legislative Studies Capacity Building (NILS-CAP) is a Project jointly funded by the National Assembly and the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). The Project is for two years. The contract appointment is for 2 years, and to start on 1 year probation (renewable, based on performance). Job Title: Programme Manager
Job Qualification
- Minimum of a Master's degree in any of the Social Science, a Ph.D is an added advantage.
- 10 years post graduate experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management
- Candidate should be a citizen from any of the ECOWAS countries
- Significant exposure to multilateral development issues
- Knowledge of parliamentary institutions and process
- Significant experience to the development challenges facing West Africa sub-region, including those relating to human and institutional capacity building and capacity utilization in the public sector, the private sector, the sector and civil society.
- Must be computer literate, with adequate knowledge of widely used office software, e.g MICROSOFT WORDS, EXCEL and POERPOINT
- Morally upright, of sound mind and physically stable
- Freedom from other employment obligation during with NILS-CAP.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Candidate must be Bi-lingual (English and French Language)
- Possession of excellent team work orientation.
Responsibilities
- Shall oversee and direct the project team
- Overall project governance and direction, and implementation all activities as contained in the approved NILS-CAP workplan.
- Shall focus on project monitoring, control, team integration, change integration, and corrective action as needed.
- Shall report to the Technical Committee through the Chairman of the Committee
- Other duties that may be assigned by the Project Technical Committee and its Chairman
