Job Title: Operations Excellence Manager (Supply Chain)

Responsibilities

  • You will lead numerous improvement projects aimed at streamlining activities while driving up performance and quality.
  • Taking part in regional and global initiatives, you will tackle complex problems that affect customers and work to resolve them with innovative solutions.

In particular you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of initiatives that eliminate waste, reduce lead time and improve business performance while establishing a sustainable model for continuous improvement
  • Work with Country Manager to identify performance gaps, prioritize and manage improvement roadmap
  • Through robust data analysis of key operational and cost metrics, identify opportunities for innovation and work with all Ops teams to quantify the value of the opportunity i.e. Optimizing warehouse and Jumia Express operations
  • Improve main KPIs: Vendor Net Promoter Score, Vendor Satisfaction Score, Seller Ops Queue Management, SLA DS collection cost effective pricing efficiency, lost in seller ops
  • Support delivery of operational consistency across the supply chain through both process and technology
  • Participate in implementing lean management practice across Jumia Services globally
  • Work with business and broader Ops team to ensure initiatives are appropriately prioritized and supported
  • Participate in technology development by giving constant feedback on requirement for Warehouse & Logistics operations.
  • Monitoring of 5S practices and Material handling

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's Degree/MBA required in an applicable discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.)
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive related work with demonstrated experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Operational Excellence in a large fulfilment or distribution environment
  • At least 3 years of experience using data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI
  • At least 3 years of experience in Project management and time management skills – experience with end-to-end project management processes
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of distribution center/fulfilment operations and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics

Job Title: Key Account Manager - Jumia Food

Location

Responsibilities

  • You will be fully responsible for Jumia Food’s new and existing partner restaurants in Lagos.
  • Your overall aim will be to acquire key vendors catering to the needs of our growing customer base, and to subsequently manage all new and existing vendor relationships.
  • You will work closely with the Operations team to consistently optimise vendor operations, and will work closely with the Marketing team to devise and implement marketing campaigns for restaurants.

In particular, you will:

  • Leverage prospecting skills and relationships to build partnerships with franchisees of the most important restaurant chains
  • Drive expansion of existing clients as well as generating new business at prospect chains
  • Manage contract negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a strong working relationship with our restaurant partners, including sustainable economics for both parties
  • Clearly communicate the value of Jumia Food and its newest products to prospects
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department with marketing requests
  • Negotiate attractive deals/combos with partner restaurants for the benefit of our customers (ie.during annual Black Friday campaign)
  • Educating new vendors on the importance of Jumia Food’s operational procedures and standards,ensuring they are always respected
  • Equipping and training new vendors on Jumia Food’s order processing and management tools (through the management of the Vendor Service Associate)
  • Ensuring that Jumia Food is paid its due commission on time (through management of the Cash Collection Officer)
  • Monitoring vendor performance and implementing operational improvement plans for restaurants, where necessary

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with at least 2 year of experience in a client facing role that includes new business acquisition
  • Ability to have a 'sixth sense' when it comes to partnerships and that leads you to effortlessly navigating multiple partner engagements
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze restaurant needs to both unlock opportunities and creatively problem-solve
  • An intuition for people. You're spending the majority of the time working with various internal and external teams, building and really cultivating new relationships with potential and existing partners and within all parts of an organization

Job Title: Key Account Manager, Fashion

Job Description

  • As Key Account Manager, Fashion you will have the end to end responsibility of the customer experience and growth of our largest Brand accounts.
  • Your role is to bring in the relevant assortment, design targeted promotions, and manage partners including sellers and brands.

In particular you will:

  • Planning: Develop and manage subcategories under Jumia. Maintain the P&L and develop annual and quarterly category strategic plans by conducting financial analysis of the business.
  • Product Development/Management: Define assortment priorities for your category and overseeing acquisition of new vendors. Manage the entire physical product lifecycle, from strategic activities to tactical implementation, including product portfolio idea generation.
  • Business Management: Ensure continuous growth of our existing business by growing assortment; managing brands end to end; ensuring price competitiveness vs. competition at all times; and managing stock availability by coordinating teams across the business to bring the product to the customer.
  • Supply Chain Management: Partner with Jumia Services to improve product availability, reduce costs, and maximize efficient order fulfillment.
  • Communication: Influence large number stakeholders across the business; work closely with the team members and other business groups to deliver results, and be comfortable in presenting projects and results to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognised and accredited University
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant professional experience within an e-commerce, retail merchandising or category management role
  • Experience building broad Fashion Brand assortments and scaling new businesses
  • Adequate knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the Ecommerce Industry
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, and exceptional organizational skills are essential.
  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.
